Gul Project Express is located on the way to the Express Express road, on the 3rd Airport and 3rd Bridge connection road, which connects the E-5 and TEM highway, which are the two most important transportation routes of Istanbul, and which is used by 1 million people per day according to official figures.
The project consists of 658 residences and 31 street shops with a construction area of 100.000 m² in two blocks with 29 floors and 19 floors.
“PANEMAX” crane-handed framed panel formwork system was preferred in curtain column formworks. A safe working platform was created by using the climbing consoles of the 150 A climbing system for the parts of the columns and curtains on the facade.
1 set of basement curtain formwork with lenght of 25 m and height of 300 cm, 1 set of shaft curtain formwork, 10 sets of 100x140 column formwork were given to the project. With these molds, the curtain-columns on one floor in both blocks can be poured on two occasions.
“RT System Wind Protection Curtains” were used in the 29-storey A block to provide maximum occupational safety and to cover the building 3.5 times with the aim of ensuring efficiency and protection from the wind. Wind shields are an excellent security system that protects the people in the environment at the same time, which increases work safety, working comfort and therefore productivity, especially in multi-storey buildings. This system, which allows the employees to work without being affected from the high and the weather conditions by closing the entire facade of the building, protects the people in the environment by preventing any materials from falling out of the building. The system can be risen by hydraulic equipment without the need for tower crane and can also be risen with tower crane if desired. At the first installation of the system and at the end of the job dismantling stages, the tower crane is needed.
